 Registration opening for summer recreation and teen leadership programs
PIMA COUNTY, May 2, 2025 -- Pima County Parks and Recreation will open online registration for two summer youth programs on Monday, May 5, at 6 a.m.
The Youth Summer Recreation Program is for children who completed kindergarten through 5th grade in the 2024/2025 school year. The program runs Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is closed on Friday.
Discounts are available for additional children in the same family unit and qualified low-income families (SNAP, free/reduced school lunch, TANF, AHCCCS, Section 8, foster children). Parents will need to show proof of low-income qualification at the parent orientation. Fees include a non-refundable $15 activity fee.
Fees:
$115/session first child, $95/session each additional child
Low-income discount: $45/session first child, $40/session each additional child

- Session 2: June 30-July 24
Parents must attend one of the mandatory parent orientation dates on Saturday, May 17, at 10 a.m., or Wednesday, May 28, at 6 p.m.
Teen Summer Leadership Program is open to youth who have completed 6th - 9th grade in the 2024/2025 school year. From team-building activities to assisting Pima County community center staff with the youth summer camp program, participants will gain valuable leadership skills, meet new friends, and engage in fun activities. The Teen Summer Leadership Program runs Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is closed on Friday.
Fees: $50 fee includes a non-refundable $15 activity fee

Parent and teen must attend one of the mandatory parent orientation dates on Monday, May 19, at 7 p.m., or Wednesday, May 28, at 7 p.m.
The youth and teen program parent handbook is available on our website. Pima County Parks and Recreation facilities are not licensed childcare facilities under section 36-882 of A.R.S. The school-age youth programs are "at will" drop-in programs and youth enrolled in the programs may come and go of their own volition.
