Host of activities on tap for Public Service Recognition Week
Pima County is joining the rest of the country in marking Public Service Recognition Week May 4-10. There are a number of activities on tap for the County’s nearly 7,000 employees to enjoy.
The highlight of the week will be a gathering in the courtyard of the Historic Courthouse May 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring games, a photo booth, and snacks and refreshments.

Microsoft is ending support for Windows 10 in October. This impacts virtually all computers in Pima County. As a result, the Information Technology Department will begin upgrading computers to Windows 11 soon.
This upgrade will affect all employees except those working for the Sheriff or other elected officials.

Two teams of volunteers and employees have gone the extra mile to help Pima County shine. Both are receiving recognition as part of the Employee Recognition/GEMS program.

Well Done: Arizona's Chief Justice visits, a hairy rescue effort and PACC in the park
Each issue, eScoop aims to honor employees and departments who have earned special recognition. Pima County Bike Month this April has been filled with fun and active biking activities, from an employee bike ride to a community bike repair event. The good news is, it’s not over — you still have plenty of time to enjoy the cool spring mornings and evenings on your bike. Mark your calendar for these bike-friendly events during the rest of the month!

On Thursday, May 1, ITD’s Office Hours Event will feature experts from Pima County’s ITD Analytics & Data Governance Team explaining what they do, how they do it, and how you can use the data to benefit your department. Join the event in person or via Teams, 2-3 p.m., at 33 N. Stone Ave., 12th floor.

Myrna P. Tesoro had a dream of writing a book. And with the help of the Pima County Public Library’s former Writer in Residence Adiba Nelson, she did. Last year, she published her first book, "The Butterfly Tree," a retelling of a fable from her homeland in the Philippines.
