Request for Proposals open for Pima County Outside Agency Funding

PIMA COUNTY, March 18, 2025 – Pima County’s Attractions and Tourism Department is seeking applications from 501(c)(3) agencies staging events and celebrations that support tourism in Southern Arizona as part of its Outside Agency Funding process. Deadline to apply is March 26.

Details on the application process may be found on the Outside Agency Transparency webpage. The Outside Agency Citizen Review Committee will begin reviewing applications in early to mid-April. In June, the Board of Supervisors will vote on approving recommendations made by the OA Review Committee.

Funds are disbursed yearly as part of a two-year award. In 2024-25, the Board approved $400,000 in grants, including to the following organizations: Tucson Botanical Gardens, Children’s Museum Tucson, Perimeter Bicycling Association of America, Inc., Southwest Folklife Alliance and the Tucson Presidio Trust dba The Presidio Museum.

The Southern Arizona Heritage and Regional Visitor Center is housed in the Historic Pima County Courthouse. The Pima County Department of Attractions & Tourism works closely with other Pima County departments and Visit Tucson to enhance the economic welfare of Pima County citizens and businesses by collaborating on tourism-related efforts.
