Tax season is upon us, and a service created to help County residents file is back by popular demand. Starting Feb. 10, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program will offer free tax-preparation services at the One-Stop Career Center to people and families who meet income qualifications.
Employees and their families can enjoy music, refreshments and insights from community leaders at a Black History Month celebration from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 20 in the first-floor Turquoise Room of the Historic Courthouse.

Tucson native Jeff Gomez named Kino complex deputy director
Jeff Gomez was 22 years old when he first visited Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium for a spring training game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Chicago White Sox. Today he’s bringing what he learned during a 15-year sports marketing career to the deputy director’s position at Kino.
