Pima Animal Care Center’s year-long outreach to the Spanish-speaking community is paying dividends, according to reports chronicling the first year of activity. The PACC en Español campaign, a partnership among the shelter, its non-profit partner Friends of PACC, and the County Communications Office, has already helped thousands of pets and their families.

The Pima County Office of Digital Inclusion recently launched a new class intended to provide individuals with the tools they need to use a computer and navigate the internet safely. The classes are available in both English and Spanish and offer students the chance to earn a brand new laptop.

Officially known as THE HUB, it houses the Community Food Bank and My Friend’s Closet thrift store, and will be open soon.
