Administration talks Workday transition, new leadership and wellness program

County Administrator Jan Lesher and Deputy County Administrators Steve Holmes and Carmine DeBonis Jr. share with employees their gratitude for the countless hours of training they undertook to get Workday off the ground. They also welcomed new elected officials and encouraged employees to take a closer look at the Personify wellness program offered by Human Resources.

‘A million-dollar impact’: ECAP sets new record for highest gift per person

ECAP awards luncheon

Throughout this year, countless people and their pets will have access to food, shelter and medical care because of donations through the Employees Care About Pima County annual charitable campaign. The 2024 campaign ended in December with more than $250,000 raised and the highest average gift per person in recorded ECAP history at $325.

Save energy and money at Home Energizer Workshop

Pima County employees are invited by the Green Stewards to attend a free Home Energizer Workshop, courtesy of Tucson Electric Power. During the workshop, employees can learn about free and low-cost ways to reduce energy use at home and save money on energy bills.

More than 100 employees turned out Jan. 16 for an Employee Appreciation event at the Fleet Services Building on Mission Road. The event offered an opportunity for the County Administrator’s Office to thank employees for all their hard work. Employees – like Mark Carry from Fleet Services, pictured with Deputy County Administrator Carmine DeBonis Jr.also got some face time with staff from the County Administrator’s Office. 


Board approves new rates for medical plan

More than 5,100 employees are enrolled in the County’s medical plan. The majority will see an increase of $2.52 per pay period. The increase is $4.48 for those covering family members. But if employees take advantage of the Healthy Lifestyle Discount Premiums offered through the Wellness Program, they’ll reap even greater savings.
