Grease collection event

When you pour something down the drain, it vanishes in a second or two. For most people, that’s where the story ends. But when that something is cooking grease, that story might end with an expensive plumbing bill – or sewer backups. That’s why the Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department launched its annual grease collection drive two decades ago.

Supervisor Lee bids farewell to District 3

Dr. Sylvia Lee reflects on her time representing Pima County's District 3 as the end of her term approaches. Lee was appointed to her office nearly a year ago. At her last Board meeting Dec. 17, supervisors and County administration thanked Lee for her service to the County.

CMHA float for All Souls Procession

The Health Department's Community Mental Health & Addiction decided to participate in the All Souls Procession last month as a way to bring awareness to the number of deaths caused by overdose in Pima County. And their float, a tribute to those who have died from overdoses, is still on display.

The year might be drawing to a close, but there’s always something to celebrate at Pima Animal Care Center. This weekend, all dogs and puppies are free to adopt. PACC is also offering free microchips through Jan. 5, just in time for those noisy New Year's festivities.
