The County's Employee Recognition Committee has selected 10 employees as Distinguished Recipients as part of the County's GEMS Program. Two departmental teams, including three members of the Project Design and Construction team, also are being recognized for their service to the County.

FAQs offer guidance on change to Department of Labor rule

The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) is a federal law that determines the exempt or non-exempt status of jobs and overtime pay requirements. The Department of Labor issued a final rule effective Jan. 1, 2025, that goes into effect for County employees on Dec. 15, 2024, that will make approximately 800 County employees non-exempt/hourly employees. Discounts on Mexican Winter League and Tucson Roadrunners tickets are available for Pima County employees. Kino Sports Complex is hosting the Liga ARCO Mexicana Del Pacifico International Baseball Series. Employees can currently purchase discounted tickets to all PRIME Tucson Roadrunners games.
