Restrictions on Stone Avenue begin Aug. 12

Map of Stone

Stone Avenue will be reduced to one lane between Alameda and Pennington Streets beginning Aug. 12. Work will take place from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. with possible night and weekend work. A full closure of Stone Avenue during weeknights may be in place as needed during this project.

Crews will be lowering manhole and water valve covers, milling the top layer of asphalt, then paving and constructing a two-way protected bike lane extension. Parking will be restricted in this area. ADA and sidewalk access will be maintained during this work. Work is expected to be completed by mid-September 2024. Following this work, crews will begin working on the southern portion of the project between Pennington Street and Ochoa Street.
