Children's Festival set for Saturday
Looking for some family fun this weekend? Arizona Bilingual’s annual Children's Festival is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Children's Museum in Tucson, 200 S. 6th Avenue. Fostering’s a family affair for Facilities Management staffer
Michael Franklin, a Safety and Health Loss Control Officer for Facilities Management, recently started using pictures of his pets – including a 2-year-old foster dog from PACC – in his presentations on slips and falls. It’s cute and educational, he said, but it also raises awareness about PACC’s foster program. The Franklin family’s involvement in the foster program ended up being beneficial for everyone … and now is a good time for you to get involved, too.

An exclusive literary circle of close friends
For over a decade, a Pima County librarian has helped groups of teenagers from local high schools and libraries to read and then interview the authors of new young adult titles at the Tucson Festival of Books. It’s captivating to listen to and he often feels like he's snuck into an exclusive literary circle of close friends and got the best seat in the house.
