This month's County Administrator's Employee Video Address comes from Deputy County Administrator Steve Holmes, who provides an update on the progress of Pima1, the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) overhaul of the County's business management software systems.
Michael Franklin, a Safety and Health Loss Control Officer for Facilities Management, recently started using pictures of his pets – including a 2-year-old foster dog from PACC – in his presentations on slips and falls. It’s cute and educational, he said, but it also raises awareness about PACC’s foster program. The Franklin family’s involvement in the foster program ended up being beneficial for everyone … and now is a good time for you to get involved, too.

Retirees with 20 or more years with the County will now receive handcrafted ceramic tiles when they leave their jobs. Human Resources commissioned the 12-inch-square tiles from local artist Carly Quinn of Carly Quinn Designs, who works with some of the top designers in Southern Arizona.

Human Resources staff and members of the Employee Recognition Committee are organizing a series of activities to mark Public Service Recognition Week. Since 1985, government employees at all levels have marked Public Service Recognition Week the first week of May.

Point them toward the library
It was 2022. He was two years out of college, and he felt like a quail in the road. He did what every graduate does: applied for a range of jobs for which he was not qualified. The only reply came from Pima County Public Library.
