Wanted: Loving home for a wandering soul
A dog who has been on the lam for nearly three months is now safely back at Pima Animal Care Center. Cinnamon, a 5-year-old Lab mix, was living 30 miles from Tucson in Three Points when her owners left her behind after losing their home in October 2023.
Navigating STIs during the month of romance
Valentine's Day will soon be here, and hearts and flowers are all over the place. Unfortunately, so are numerous sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Arizona has received a notably high ranking for reported STIs in the latest STI surveillance report recently released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Two major County construction projects taking shape
The Northwest Service Center, located at 1010 W. Miracle Mile (the site of the former Golden Pin Lanes bowling alley), is projected to be open to the public for services in early 2025. The new Office of the Medical Examiner (pictured) is set to be completed by September 2024.

Fun times await at these February events
Spring is right around the corner, and so are several fun outdoor events in Pima County. Check out the Cupid's Chase 5K on Feb. 10 at Brandi Fenton Memorial Park. The next day, hit up the Kino Gem and Mineral Show for its last day open. And on Feb. 18, take your furry friend to the Tucson Subaru Pets of Pima Parade.

Natural Resources Parks & Recreation offers spring break camp at community centers
Spring break is just around the corner and Pima County’s Natural Resources Parks & Recreation Department wants to help you with childcare. NRPR is offering Spring Break Camp at six of their community centers. Registration opens Friday, Feb. 14, at 6 a.m. Find more information and a list of participating community centers here.
