The Small Business Commission presented three local businesses with awards at the Dec. 5 meeting of the Pima County Board of Supervisors. The businesses: Sister José Women’s Center, Hem and Her Bridal, and Vail Coffee Stop were chosen from a field of 60 businesses that were nominated by the community and voted on by the Small Business Commission. 'Your voice has worth': Summit marks turning point in plans for system reform
Looking around the meeting, it was apparent that the Justice Services’ Community Action Summit had drawn people from many different backgrounds. Some who spoke had spent decades in prison. Others had spent about the same amount of time working in law enforcement. But during the meeting, they came together for a common cause: a safer and more equitable justice system.

Find out what you can grow this month with the Public Library's Seed Library
The Pima County Public Library makes it easy to find which seeds you can plant when. The Seed Library is a collection of open-pollinated and heirloom seeds that you can borrow to plant and grow at home. Their seed collection depends on donations and seasonality.
