County making changes to inspection scheduling process for multiple departments

PIMA COUNTY, Aug. 16, 2023 – Two Pima County departments will stop using the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system after Aug. 31, 2023. The departments impacted by this change are the Pima County Department of Environmental Quality and the Pima County Development Services Department.

The IVR system is currently used to schedule field inspections for different aspects of development and construction projects in Pima County. Types of projects that required inspections to be scheduled through the IVR system include septic systems, rooftop solar installations, public and semi-public aquatic facilities, and other routine building inspections that are part of the construction process.

Starting Aug. 31, all of these inspections will be scheduled using through the Pima County Building Inspection Portal which uses the VuSpex Inspections tool. More information about VuSpex, including instructions on how to use the online scheduling portal, can be found at Pima County’s Building Inspection Portal. In addition to scheduling inspections via the website, VuSpex also offers a mobile app.
