RWRD bring home multiple awards, burnishing its reputation for excellence
As a rule, Pima County’s wastewater team doesn’t call much attention to itself. Like the sewer system it operates, the department runs day to day with quiet, unobtrusive professionalism. However, that doesn’t mean that its accomplishments have gone unrecognized. This year, the Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department has already received a number of awards that highlight its exceptional performance in more than one area.

Remembering Annette Duarte
Last month, the Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department said goodbye to longtime friend and colleague Annette Duarte, who passed away April 30 at the age of 60. Annette was a much-loved member of the RWRD family who worked in the department for more than 35 years. Regional Wastewater Reclamation Advisory Committee meeting recap
The June 22 meeting of the Regional Wastewater Reclamation Advisory Committee opened with updates on a number of subjects from Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department Director Jackson Jenkins. He said the department has been talking with the Town of Sahuarita about a potential facility in that area and recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the town to continue that discussion.
