June 10 is the last day to nominate employees for individual recognition as part of the quarterly We A.R.E. Gems Employee Recognition Program. To help supervisors navigate through the beginning of the program, Human Resources has compiled answers to frequently asked questions about the nomination process.

Improve your commute, earn wellness points
by carpooling with the GoEzy app

Pima County’s new employee carpooling program is well underway and you can join. The program already has more than 100 carpool requests that still need a match for upcoming trips. Could you be that match? Employees can earn 50 wellness points per month in Virgin Pulse by reporting their healthy commuting activities, which includes carpooling.

Reserve spot now for ITD's 'Office Hours'

Space is available for the debut of the Information Technology Department’s “Office Hours” sessions. The ITD staff is continually working to improve Pima County’s systems, which sometimes prompts questions from employees about the new technologies. At Office Hours, ITD staff from multiple disciplines will be available to answer any questions you have about the new tools, what’s coming next or to get help with an issue that is impacting you and your work.

Get discounted tickets for Sugar Skulls football

Pima County employees can get discounted tickets for the June 10 Indoor Football League game between the Tucson Sugar Skulls and the Duke City Gladiators. The game begins at 6 p.m. at the Tucson Convention Center's Tucson Arena. Click the link below to find tickets through Ticketmaster. Sheriff's Department hosts blood drive June 9

The Pima County Sheriff's Department will host a blood drive that is open to all County employees, their spouses and domestic partners at the Clarence W. Dupnik Complex, 1750 E. Benson Highway, June 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Look for the Red Cross Bloodmobile in the parking lot. Click on the button below to make an appointment and use the code "PCSD."

Healthy Happenings: See winners
in Virgin Pulse 70,000-point drawing

There are more than 2,800 Pima County employees engaged in the Virgin Pulse healthy living platform. The 232 who have earned more than 70,000 points were entered into a drawing for $100 gift cards. Library launches summer learning program

The Pima County Public Library this week began its summer learning program, which is intended to boost kids' reading power while they are out of school. Families can swing by any library branch to pick up a reading tracker and a free book, while supplies last. In conjunction with the program, the library is also offering many events for the entire family.
