ECAP marks end of successful 2022-23 campaign

The Pima County Administrator’s Office, the Pima County Public Library and the Community & Workforce Development Department were named the top three departments at the 2022-23 Employees Care About Pima County awards ceremony. ECAP, the County's annual charitable campaign, raised more than $265,000 for nonprofits and organizations that serve people and pets throughout the community.

UA to honor Huckelberry with honorary degree

Longtime former County Administrator Chuck Huckelberry will be honored with an honorary doctor of humane letters degree at the University of Arizona’s spring commencement May 13. “From bike paths to habitat conservation plans, bond packages to hospitals, the impact of Charles "Chuck" Huckelberry's nearly five decades of public service is evident throughout Southern Arizona,” said the university’s nomination.

You could call the Information Technology Department service desk and ask for help, but what if you could reset it yourself without having to call them? Alleviating that issue is one reason ITD is working toward implementing Self-Service Password Reset, or SSPR, for employees.

The good news is that there are plenty of ways in which folks can help pets at PACC without fostering or adopting.

The County frequently updates its office systems and is looking for input from employees on what they value most in their office workspace. County changes the way it
communicates on social media

Pima County has consolidated its social media presence into fewer accounts in an effort to streamline how County information reaches the region’s residents. No information from what were previously dozens of accounts is going away, it’s just going to fewer places. The County also launched a Spanish-language Facebook page on May 5.

County's COVID policies will change May 11

Look for signs about social distancing and mask wearing to come down May 11 following the Board of Supervisors' unanimous vote April 4 to do away with the last of the County's pandemic rules and regulations. The signs are just a few of the tangible reminders of the County's pandemic policies that will come to an end due to the decision by the Biden administration to lift the national public health emergency on May 11.

Get discounted tickets for Sugar Skulls game

Pima County employees can get discounted tickets for the May 6 Indoor Football League game between the Tucson Sugar Skulls and the Northern Arizona Wranglers. The game begins at 6 p.m. at the Tucson Convention Center's Tucson Arena. The first 1,000 fans through the doors will receive a free bobblehead. Click the link below to find tickets through Ticketmaster. Discounts range from $3 off for each upper-level seat to $10 off per seat on the lower level.

Library makes changes to program
that allows patrons to propose buys

The Pima County Public Library is proud to offer its Suggest a Purchase service, which allows customers to suggest materials they wish the library to purchase. Customers used to be able to suggest 30 items per month. However, as of May 1, that number was reduced to 15 titles per month. There are multiple reasons why this change was implemented.
