Road Pavement Repair and Preservation Program

Crack Seal Treatment

Pima County, Ariz. (Mar. 29) – Today, March 29, through Friday, April 14, between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., Pima County Department of Transportation and its contractor, VSS International, Inc., will be performing crack seal work as part of Pima County’s Road Pavement Repair and Preservation Program at the following locations:

  • Camino Loma Alta from Old Spanish Trail to Colossal Cave Road
  • Sahuarita Road from west of Country Club Road to Sonoita Highway
  • Desert Bell Drive from La Canada Drive to Esperanza Boulevard
  • Thornydale Road from Pecos Way to Daphne Lane

The work will consist of setting traffic control and crack seal work.

Flaggers will be on site to direct, monitor and control traffic movements through the construction zone.  Due to the work area limitations, turn movements within the work zone may be restricted during crack seal operations. Minor delays and lane closures may also occur. Please approach the area with caution, obey all traffic control devices, and allow for extra travel time.

In the event of mechanical failure or inclement weather, the construction schedule is subject to change.

In Fiscal Year 2022/2023, the Pima County Board of Supervisors and Transportation Department allocated $66 million in road repair and preservation funding for the Road Pavement Repair and Preservation Program.
