Strong vaccination numbers keep hospitalization rates low

Three-quarters of eligible County residents are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, 90% have had at least one dose, and 50% have had a booster dose. These vaccination rates have helped keep the COVID hospitalization rates low as the disease continues to ebb and flow in the county. The latest vaccine, Novavax, is now available at County clinics.

Business owners: Help guide economic development in the county

Pima County is updating its Economic Development Strategy to chart the County’s future and promote business growth, start-ups, investment attraction, and new foreign direct investment opportunities. We’re conducting a survey focused specifically on business owners and leaders in Pima County. Survey questions will ask you about your experiences in the business environment and what is important to you. Your answers will help us identify priority areas as we develop the strategy and recommendations.

County crews keeping you safe during flooding

Monsoon rains frequently flood road crossings in some parts of the County, depositing tons of mud, silt, rocks, and debris. Yet within hours after the water recedes, an army of County DOT work crews clear the roads for safe travel.

Put your organization on list for County’s surplus property

Pima County’s Procurement Department is seeking 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that might be interested in receiving surplus property from the county. Procurement maintains a list of nonprofits that have registered to receive notifications of available surplus. When property becomes available, a notice is sent to all registered nonprofits at the same time. All surplus property is distributed on a first-come basis.
