CPO capital projects

CPO to Manage Some of RWRD’s Capital Projects

The Capital Program Office (CPO) will be taking over management of a number of capital improvement projects for the Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department (RWRD). 

The projects that CPO will be taking on are the Old Nogales Interceptor/Aerospace Corridor project, the Continental Ranch regional pump station project, the planned sewer extension to Canoa Ranch, the Northwest outfall siphon, backup generators for Tres Ríos Water Reclamation Facility, and the solar-powered Class A biosolids drying project.

Summer Food Drive Collects Supplies for Community

This summer’s “Christmas in July” Food Drive was a success! The drive, which lasted from June 15 through July 11, raised a grand total of 1,170 pounds of food to help the community.

Slips, Trips and Falls

Many people don’t realize that surface irregularities of even slightly less than a fourth of an inch may be enough to cause a trip. In addition, a loss of balance leading to a fall can arise when one unexpectedly comes into contact with something or someone. Falls initiated by slips are the most prevalent type, however.

What this means is that we all need to pay attention to where we are walking and what we’re doing in order to avoid slip, trip and fall incidents.
