 RWRD Receives Award for Twin Peaks/Blue Bonnet Project
The Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department (RWRD) recently received the Build Arizona award for the Twin Peaks/Blue Bonnet Gravity Sewer Project, along with its partners Achen-Gardner Construction and Engineering and Environmental Consultants (EEC).
The Build Arizona award is given by the Arizona Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America. It was presented to RWRD Deputy Director Jaime Rivera, EEC Project Manager Carrie Cote and Achen-Gardner Project Manager Geoff Tucker.

It’s hard to believe, but March is already here! 2022 is now in full swing, the weather is gradually getting warmer, and spring is just around the corner. This is a good time to take stock of our accomplishments, and we have a lot to take pride in here at our department.
Our biogas treatment and delivery project out at Tres Ríos Water Reclamation Facility has been off to a terrific start, and our dedicated team at Tres Ríos has done a fantastic job keeping it running at nearly full capacity since the start of the year.

Some RWRD Staff Move to New Offices
A number of RWRD employees moved into new offices over the past month, as the department vacated most of the eighth floor of the Public Works building at 201 N. Stone Avenue.

Safety Always isn’t just the safety slogan for RWRD; it needs to be a way of life for all of us. RWRD is dedicated to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all of our employees. RWRAC Meeting Update
Water quality in the Santa Cruz River, the biogas treatment system at Tres Ríos WRF, and the effects of inflation on RWRD's budget are just some of the issues that came up at the most recent meeting of the Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Advisory Committee (RWRAC).
