New director looks forward to economic development challenges
A commitment to serving the community is what drew Pima County Economic Development Director Heath Vescovi-Chiordi to the public sector and to economic development.
Vescovi-Chiordi started his new job with Pima County in mid-January after several years with the town of Marana, where he served in many roles. His last post with the town was as interim director of the Marana Regional Airport, a facility that is home to more than 260 aircraft and sees 90,000 takeoffs and landings annually. He also worked as an assistant to the town manager and as an economic development specialist.
