Pima County One-Stop
to host job fair at Kino Event Center
PIMA COUNTY, Nov. 17, 2021 — The Pima County One-Stop will be hosting a job fair on Thursday, Nov. 18, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Kino Event Center, 2805 E. Ajo Way.
About 50 employers will be represented at the event, including CalPortland; Rite Way Heating, Cooling & Plumbing; Abrams Airborne Manufacturing Inc.; Davis-Monthan Exchange; MHC Healthcare; HomeGoods; Avalanche Security Solutions; and Bayada Home Health Care.
The industry sectors that will be represented at the fair include manufacturing, security, food services, health care, social services, construction and government.
The event is open to the public. Attendees are reminded to please wear masks and observe other COVID-19 precautions. Participants should come dressed to impress and bring along plenty of résumés.
Donna Ruthruff, a workforce development specialist with Pima County’s Department of Community & Workforce Development, said this will be the first in-person job fair hosted by the county since the start of the pandemic.
“We have been in close contact with many employers who have many job openings. We hope to connect employers to job-seekers,” Ruthruff said.
“We want Pima County to have a strong workforce and bringing job-seekers and employers together will help strengthen our community.”
