Love Your City Success: A Powerful Impact Across Mesa!
On Saturday, September 13, the City of Mesa and JustServe partnership made a remarkable impact as volunteers came together with one shared purpose—service.
Across all six Mesa council districts, volunteers stepped up to build gardens, beautify schools, host service fairs, organize donation drives, and pack hygiene kits. Each project reflected the care people have for their neighbors and their city.
Altogether, volunteers contributed an incredible 12,371 hours of service—valued at more than $430,000 reinvested into the community. Yet the true impact can’t be measured in dollars. It was found in the connections made, the pride shared, and the collective effort to make Mesa shine a little brighter. Thank you to every volunteer who made this day unforgettable.
Help ABC Reach 200 New Donors by December!
ABC (A Better Community) is Mesa’s local giving program that makes it simple to support neighbors in need. Every dollar donated stays right here in Mesa, funding food, shelter, education, and resources through trusted partner agencies.
We’ve set a goal to welcome 200 new donors before the end of December—and we need your help to get there. If you’re not yet part of ABC, now is the perfect time to join this effort and make a direct impact on your community. Every dollar makes a difference, no matter if it is a one-time gift, a monthly recurring donation, or an addition to your monthly Mesa utility bill.
Sign up today at mesaaz.gov/abc and help us build a stronger, healthier Mesa for everyone.

Now is the Time to Plant Something!
Thinking of adding or replacing plants in your landscape, sowing wildflower seeds, or putting them in a vegetable garden? Fall is the best time to plant because soil temperatures are still warm, which encourages root growth and development, and it allows plants to get well established before next summer’s heat sets in.
We have an abundance of resources to help you with all your fall planting needs, including free copies of our plants book, Landscape Plants for the Arizona Desert, incentives for removing grass, and a website, Water – Plant It Wisely, that is dedicated to fall landscaping and planting. Get all that, plus more!
