Ten Reasons To Skip That Winter Lawn
While sustaining a lush, green lawn throughout the year is appealing to many home and business owners, the additional water needed for cool-season grasses is difficult to justify when we live in the desert and water is such a precious resource. By learning to embrace a lifestyle of using less water and accept a less-than-lush lawn during the winter months, you will not only realize significant water savings, but also save a lot of time and money. If you need more convincing, check out our top ten reasons to forgo your winter lawn.

This residential utility assistance program offers a 30% discount on the Water Service Rate, one of the water rate components on a customer’s bill. For example, on a 3/4" water service (most common size for residences), the discount reduces the fixed, monthly charge from $29.23 per month to $20.46 per month. This is an $8.77 savings per month! This program does not change any other water rate component.
This program is for permanent, full-time residents at the service address who are 60 years of age or older. Review other qualification criteria before applying.
