Brighten the day of Mesa senior! Use your own supplies or pick up a Take & Make Activity Kit from the Library.
Valentines can be as simple or creative as you would like them to be. City of Mesa volunteers will deliver your valentines to care facilities and homebound residents by Valentine’s Day. Please note that we will be unable to use valentines that are religious in nature.
Valentine Make and Take Packets will be available for pick-up through February 4th at any Mesa Library branch. The drop-off date is February 8th at the Library’s book drop box.

 Mesa Business License
To better serve and support local businesses, the City of Mesa will begin issuing a general business license on 2022.
As an incentive to apply early, the City’s Office of Economic Development will sponsor up to 1,000 small businesses to receive a special two-year membership to the Arizona Small Business Association, valued at $198. To be eligible, businesses with less than 100 employees must be among the first 1,000 to apply and receive the Mesa Business License in 2022.
Business owners can find more information and a list of frequently asked questions on the City’s licensing page.
February 17th is Random Acts of Kindness Day and we have prepared a list of ideas to make a week of it!
- Offer to rake a senior neighbor’s leaves.
- Share a positive review or comment with your neighbors on Nextdoor (be the change you want to see!)
- If you see graffiti, report it.
- Donate coloring books, bookmarks, or children’s books to your neighborhood Little Free Library.
- Return your trash bins from the street as soon as you notice they are empty.
Harmony and community make Mesa strong. We hope that you enjoy sharing these ideas with your neighbors.

Important Notice Regarding Underground Gas Lines
The City of Mesa owns, operates and maintains the gas piping system up to and including the meter outside homes and businesses. Piping from the gas meter to every gas appliance, indoors and out, belongs to the property owner and is the owner’s responsibility to maintain, much like plumbing and electrical systems.
To maintain a safe system and avoid potential hazards on the customer side of the meter, the City of Mesa encourages periodic inspections for leaks, corrosion, and rust. If you discover an unsafe condition and need repairs, contact a licensed professional for assistance. If you have any questions regarding customer buried piping, please visit our website or call 480-644-4552.
