Honoring our Hometown Heroes
 Mesa Hometown Heroes Banner Program
The City of Mesa is honoring and remembering the brave veterans of the United States Armed Forces. Mesa takes pride in recognizing and celebrating Veterans and Active Service Members of the United States Armed Forces through the Mesa Hometown Heroes Banner Program. This Veterans Day season we invite you to visit the banners displaying along Center Street, from University Drive to Main Street now through November 14th.  Resident's Guide to Cats
Virtual class on Zoom, Tuesday, November 16, 6 to 7 pm
Whether you love or have concerns about feral cats, this meeting will provide resources and give you a chance to provide details about how cats are impacting your neighborhood.

The East Valley Veterans Parade provides an opportunity for the community to gather in honoring, thanking and celebrating local Veterans, active Military, and their families. Enjoy the fly-over in historic warbird aircraft between 11:45 and 12:00. November 11th, Downtown Mesa.

See the B-17 Sentimental Journey aircraft that served in World War II and meet pilot Fred Engstrom, who flew 25 missions over Germany. Commemorative Air Force Museum, Saturday, November 13th, at 2 pm

 The Royal Air Force Cadet Memorial honors the 23 pilots of the No. 4 British Flying Training School who lost their lives while training from 1941-1945 at Mesa's Falcon Field. This FREE public service has been held for more than 30 years at the Mesa Cemetery. November 14th, 10:45 am.

 The Commemorative Air Force Museum will host its popular themed event A Night in the 40s Big Band Dance 5-10 p.m. Dec. 4 in the museum, 2017 N. Greenfield Road. Many guests wear period uniforms and costumes, and swing dance lessons are included. Specialty food trucks will offer food and beverages for sale.  Building a Smarter Mesa - Citizen Innovator Forum
Join us on Nov. 4, 15 or 16 to learn more and share your voice about Building a Smarter Mesa. We are committed to collaborating with the citizens of Mesa to help build our city’s smarter future, together. Smart Mesa Today was launched in 2018, to focus on using advanced, smart technology to create the right platforms to help every resident, business, and visitor experience Mesa at its finest. With that said, we would like to hear from you!

Independent Lens Pop-Up's first movie of the season is here, and you are invited! The National Online Screening event will be on Wednesday, November 10th, from 4:00 to 5:30 pm. RSVP here.

Storm Lake, a film by Jerry Risius and Beth Levison Inside a family-run newspaper keeping local journalism alive
Go inside The Storm Lake Times, a family-run newspaper serving an Iowa town that has seen its share of changes in the 40 years since Big Agriculture came to the area. Pulitzer-winning editor Art Cullen and his team dedicate themselves to keeping the paper alive as local journalism across the country dies out.
