With the news of Cindy Goelz retiring on December 22^nd, a nationwide search was conducted for our next Chief Financial Officer (CFO). 

We are excited to announce that Mike McGee will step into this critical role as CFO and Director of the Office of Budget & Finance.  The turnover between Mike and Cindy will officially begin on November 13^th to ensure a seamless transition.

As many know, Mike has been expertly serving as our Director of Internal Audit for the past 6 years.  He is a Certified Public Accountant with a wide range of experience in accounting, auditing, and business administration.  Before joining Maricopa County in 2017, Mike worked for the State of Arizona in several responsible roles. He is a collaborative leader with over twenty years in management and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Arizona State University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M University.
