Friends and colleagues,
I have served on this board for nearly a decade, and have never been prouder of the work we’re doing on behalf of residents. Maricopa County is a model for how governments can get important things done in a timely manner, and this year, county departments, elected offices, and courts have been recognized for their innovative work with 58 NACo Achievement Awards. This is worth celebrating, and next month, we will!

You are formally invited to the 2023 Maricopa County NACo Awards Ceremony, which will be held on:
When:
Wednesday, August 30 at 10 a.m.
Where:
Administrative Building (301 W Jefferson St) 2nd floor, Conference Room
This will be a time to connect with your coworkers, recognize your award-winning work, and share a few laughs.

The event will be similar to last year's. We expect it to be engaging, informative, and last about an hour. Please keep the following in mind as you make your plans:
- I know many of you work with fantastic community partners, but please bring only team members from within the county who have directly worked on, or supervised, these award-winning projects. Due to space limitations, this ceremony is for Maricopa County employees only.
- We’ve made every effort to get this invitation to the right people, but we may have inadvertently missed someone. Please coordinate with your teams and your county partners to ensure those who deserve to be recognized for their work are aware of the ceremony.
- Parking in the area is limited, and there is not a county shuttle service available. I’d encourage you to walk, carpool, or take public transportation if possible.
Getting together as a County family to recognize achievements is an important way of remember, we're all in this together. I hope you take this opportunity to join me, my colleagues on the Board, and dozens of dedicated and talented county staff as we celebrate programs and ideas that improve lives.
Clint Hickman
Chairman, District 4
