Hello colleagues,
As a long-time county employee, I know how challenging public service can be and how often it is perhaps taken for granted or overlooked.
We are fortunate at Maricopa County. The Board of Supervisors deeply values the work being done across departments, elected offices, and courts, and so do I. I see the fruits of your labor every day in our community and in my conversations with your directors. I hear the gratitude from residents.
I also know words mean little without action.
This year, the Board is once again funding pay-for-performance raises for employees who are successfully performing their jobs. That means if you have a current performance evaluation rated “successful” or above, you are eligible for a pay raise in FY 2024. Pay increases will be effective on July 10 and will start showing up on paychecks on August 2. Offering competitive pay is important to me, and I’m grateful the Board has prioritized generous pay-for-performance plans for several years in a row now.
Pay is also just one part of the compensation you receive as a Maricopa County employee. While Open Enrollment is still a few months away, I’d invite you to check out this one-page overview of your benefits package. There may be some perks you’re unaware of.
Thank you again for all you do as a Maricopa County employee. It is seen and appreciated.
Jen
