Are you interested in volunteering, or do you know someone in your department who might be interested?
Volunteer 13K is an employee engagement project that allows county employees to earn paid Authorized Volunteer Time (A2162) towards a volunteer project for another county department with supervisor permission.
The purpose of this program is to provide engaging and diverse service opportunities for employees to connect with other departments across the County.

Some examples of volunteering include litter clean up and invasive species removal projects with Parks and Recreation and kennel enrichment at Animal Care and Control.
Upon approval from your supervisor, you can volunteer on a team and lend your talents to help advance the County's mission and goals.

Take advantage of this free opportunity to consult with a registered dietitian who will offer personalized guidance on nutrition, regardless of your specific goals or needs. They'll meet you where you are, answer your questions, and work with you to develop a plan.

Wellness Portal Activities
The Wellness Portal has multiple tools to support you in maintaining or improving nutrition habits.
The Nutrition Guide helps you track your food through MyFitnessPal, which can be synced to your Wellness Portal account. *Sync apps and track meals for 20 days in ONE calendar month and earn credit for one "Your Choice" Activity towards your Wellness Incentive.
Healthy Habits is a feature that helps you track a variety of habits. Check out the "Eating Healthy" topic to find over thirty different ways to track your nutrition habits.

Keep Up With Your Fitness
Did you know about the free onsite fitness centers at certain locations throughout the County? Employees can participate in a variety of group fitness classes - currently being offered at the Administration Building Fitness Center. Click here to view the schedule.
Don't have access to a County fitness center yet? Fill out and submit the Fitness Center Application (PDF). It's a one-time form that will grant you access to your preferred onsite center.
Please Note: The MCDOT Fitness Center, located on 2909 W Durango, Phoenix, AZ 85009, will be temporarily closed from Monday, February 20 - Friday, March 31.

Earn $30 Per Paycheck with the County’s Wellness Incentive Program
The Wellness Incentive Program is an annual program that rewards employees enrolled in a County-sponsored medical plan with a medical premium reduction of $30/paycheck for completing certain healthy activities.
Log on to the Wellness Portal for the list of rewarding activities and to get started.
If your Rewards page on the Wellness Portal looks like the image below, you are done for the year! You’ll restart your activities January 2024.
However, if your Rewards page looks similar to the image below, you still have time. Complete the Health Check Survey and two “Your Choice” activities by Dec. 31, 2023. Then, restart January 2024.

OET and the Office of Communications partnered to create an eSignature tool and step-by-step guide to make the transition to a County-wide, unified eSignature as easy as possible. That tool that was first introduced in January has now been updated to condense the size of the signature block while adding more contact options.
