Colleagues,
About an hour ago, Chairman Gates gave you the first look at the new countywide brand that will be made public on Wednesday. If you missed his message, you can read it here.
This is what you can expect for the public rollout on Wednesday.
You’ll wake up to the new brand, in action, on Maricopa.gov. The website will function the same but will have the new color palette, fonts, and logo.
If you have a county computer or county-issued phone, you will see elements of the new brand there as well, including as part of your wallpaper or background.
The Board of Supervisors will meet at 9:30 a.m. to officially share these changes with the public, and then you will begin to see the logo and colors on county social media channels and other communications.
We’ll distribute branded notebooks, stickers, and other items to department leaders to pass out to any employees who are interested.
Department directors and communicators will receive access to a Brand Standards Guide and Toolkit that will detail how to use the new branding in everything from PowerPoint presentations and virtual backgrounds to uniforms and signage.
Two changes will require all employees to take action.

First, we’ll be standardizing email signatures. In the coming days, your department leaders will share a link to a signature generator that will produce an image you can copy into Outlook. This is not optional.

Additionally, we’ll create a schedule for all employees to update security badges with the new branding. You don’t have to change your picture, but you will need to replace your badge.

This branding project is important to me because it’s an investment in you. Your brand is excellence. That’s what you deliver every day to our residents. That’s what this new look communicates to me.
I believe that having a unified county brand will help convey our values to a broader audience, build connection and trust among our residents, and create greater understanding and awareness of what we do. In addition, it will help us better communicate to job seekers that Maricopa County is a great place to start and grow a career.
Thank you for all you do for our residents and each other.
Joy
