Stay Healthy for the Holidays!

Get Your Vaccines in Time for the Holidays!

The triple threat of COVID-19, the flu and RSV is keeping doctor's offices busy.  Perhaps you've even noticed some coughs and sniffles among your co-workers.  Here's how to protect yourself and others:

  1. Get your vaccines.  In fact, you can safely get your COVID-19 booster and your flu shot at the same time.
  2. Practice good hygeine.  Wash hands, cover mouths, etc.
  3. Stay home when you're sick.  We know you love work, but don't infect the rest of us :)

Election Canvass Complete

BOS YOUTUBE

After hearing public comment and a presentation by Maricopa County's Elections Directors, the Board of Supervisors voted 5-0 to canvass the 2022 November General Election, certifying the election results are accurate and providing a full accounting of all the ballots cast in the election.  The canvass is required by law, making the results official and paving the way for any election contests that might come.  At the meeting, board members and elections staff addressed common questions we've seen since Nov. 8.  You can watch all (or parts) of the four-hour canvass meeting in the link to your left, or read statements from board members here.

The first of these, the Cholla Health Center, opened late last month. The comprehensive health center provides medical, dental, behavioral health services, psychiatry, nutrition, community resources and even a pharmacy.  Health providers will be able to see 13,000 patients yearly regardless of income.  Congrats!
