Our organization has gone through a lot the last year and a half and we understand everyone is still grieving the loss of loved ones, friends, and colleagues. We extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of those who have passed. It's an incredible loss for our agency and we will always honor and remember their sacrifice.
Honoring Lieutenant Brackman
Honoring Deputy Ruiz
1 Year Anniversary of the Intake, Transfer, and Release (ITR) Facility
Monday, November 15, 2021 marked the 1 Year Anniversary of the Intake, Transfer, and Release (ITR) Facility. We recognize and appreciate the tremendous amount of work and tireless dedication that went into the opening of a brand new facility and commend you for the work that continues to be done. You all have made the transition of booking processes a success. You have implemented new workflows, learned nuances of a new facility, and changed the way inmates are managed in every way.
We put together a video slideshow to show you how far you have all come over the past year and to say THANK YOU for all of the hard work.
Without each and every one of you, none of the successes seen over the past year would have been possible!
Congratulations and Happy 1 Year Anniversary!
Celebrating Veterans Day
On Thursday, November 11, we honored and saluted those who have served our great nation, especially the incredible men and women of our organization. Thank you for your sacrifice and service.
Giving Back to Those Who Serve
On November 22, "Eats and Treats for Cops" stopped by District II to drop off treats and thank you cards for all of the deputies and staff in support of law enforcement and to show empathy towards the loss of Deputy Ruiz. Chick-fil-a gift cards were also given to every deputy as well as all kinds of sweet treats!

MASH Donations
Every year, Mr. and Mrs. Padilla donate items such as dog food and treats to the MASH Unit. This year, they donated 80 bags of cat and dog food along with treats for all of our four-legged furry friends. The MASH Unit relies on donations such as this to keep our pets healthy and fed. We are so thankful for their generous donations!
Lending a Hand to the Community
The MCSO Cadets along with Aguila Volunteer Fire Department, the Bureau of Land Management, and The GreenUp Foundation teamed up to clean up an area in Aguila that had become a trash dumping area.
There were 40 volunteers that cleaned and filled (5) 40 cubic yard dumpsters full of debris. We love to see it! Thank you all for your hard work and making in difference in our County.

OCTOBER RECAP |
Fuel of Dreams
On October 28, our Community Outreach Division participated in the "9th Annual Fuel of Dreams" event to raise money and awareness for the Special Olympics of Arizona. Volunteers (sworn, detention, and civilian) filled up tanks, wiped windshields, and interacted with our community members. We are grateful to our staff for volunteering and giving back to our community! You all ROCK!
100% of the proceeds collected went towards supporting the Special Olympics of Arizona.
Exceptional Customer Service
During the week of October 8, we celebrated Customer Service Week. Did you know that the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office Technology Bureau has an entire division focused on Customer Engagement, the IT Operations and Customer Engagement Division?
What sets them apart is that they are our FIRST point of contact for every technology need, request, question, or concern. That is why we recognized our entire Technology Bureau for providing our detention, sworn, and civilian staff exceptional customer service to help our organization run as smoothly as possible.
Thank you IT Operations Center and Customer Engagement Division (OCE), IT Operations Center (ITOC), and Client Support Services (CSS).
Coffee Brings the Community Together
District II deputies headed over to Starbucks in October for a "Coffee with a Cop" event where they had the opportunity to interact and connect with the community! Turns out, several of our deputies have impressive coffee making abilities!
