Hello colleagues,

As many of you return to offices and your normal workspace, you will notice changes to adapt to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.  The latest is a requirement that employees working within six feet of one another wear a mask.  This is effective Tuesday, June 9, 2020.

You must also wear a mask in common areas and elevators when you are within six feet of others.  You do not need to wear a mask when walking to and from the parking lots.

Maricopa County Department of Public Health is tracking increased case numbers in our community.  While an increase was expected after the governor lifted the stay-at-home order, the spread of disease shows that despite precautions, increased social interaction is leading to more cases.  The latest studies on masks show combinations of commonly available fabrics used in cloth masks provide significant protection.  If you do not have your own, we have distributed masks to all departments for your use.

Please look at the graphic below about the proper use and care of masks.  The CDC offers guidance on its website as well.

Your safety is our top concern.  If you have questions, please reach out to your direct supervisor.  If you work in an office under an elected official or the judicial branch, adhere to any other safety measures that have been put in place.

Be well,
Joy
