The Home School Foundation is a nationwide organization whose mission is to bless homeschool families and further the cause of homeschooling. Founded in 1994 as a non-profit 501(c)(3), HSF is the charitable arm of the Home School Legal Defense Association. These two organizations are very closely tied in their mission to support the home school community.
HSF offers financial assistance to homeschooling families with specific needs ... widows, single parents, special needs, military families, curriculum relief, disaster relief, and more. Many of our state's homeschool families have received assistance from HSF.
HSF AMBASSADORS
HSF works through the volunteer Ambassador Program to bring personal, tangible help to struggling homeschool families. HSF Ambassadors identify the needs of families in their own communities and implement service projects such as providing clean up after a house fire, assisting a widow with home repairs, helping a single mom with yard maintenance, or arranging for financial assistance to purchase living essentials such as children's clothing.
Would you consider volunteering as an ambassador for HSF? We need many more ambassadors all over our state.

What do Shamrocks have to do with St. Patrick’s Day?
St. Patrick traveled to Ireland to teach Christianity to the Irish. In order to make the people understand the doctrine of the Trinity—that there are three beings who make up one divine God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—St. Patrick drew an analogy by picking a shamrock and showing that its three leaves were on only one stem. The shamrock was already a sacred plant in ancient Ireland because it symbolized the rebirth of Spring. Shamrocks, of course, are green, hence the stipulation that one must wear green on St. Patrick’s Day!
