On 8/23/2013 6:00:00 AM: Fridays Fitness Hike – Various locations in Park- ALL Fridays Come to one or all of the Fitness Hiking Series, every Friday. We build up to a longer hike at the end of the month. Please wear sturdy shoes & bring plenty of water. Meet at the Horse Staging Area, your first right as you enter the park.

On 9/7/2013 8:00:00 AM: Tortoise Talks Come meet our tortoises, Lily, Lady, McKenzie, and Scarlett, and baby tortoises, too! Help Ranger Amy feed them lunch! Find out why you should never pick up a wild tortoise, and learn about tortoises that are looking for homes. Don’t forget your camera – our tortoises are very photogenic (and they move slowly so you can get great pictures). Meet out back of the Visitor Center.

Summer Night Ride Series- Pemberton- McDowell

On 9/7/2013 7:30:00 PM: The summer night mountain bike series will be held on Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m. All riders must have a helmet, a lighting system designed for mountain biking and battery power for 3 hours of riding. Riders must sign-in and sign-out, two hours are allowed to ride the Pemberton Trail. It is highly recommended that you ride this trail in day light before coming out for a night ride. The sign sheets are available at 6:30 for riders who might need extra time. NO RIDERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO START AFTER 8:00 p.m.
