TEST - Rapid Response Welcome Email

You are receiving this notice to let you know you have been added to the Maricopa County Air Quality Department’s Rapid Response Notification System.

This initiative is an effort to curb dust pollution within our control and help preserve clean air within the region of Maricopa County.

How it works:

When air pollution levels rise, Maricopa County air monitoring stations will issue a Rapid Response notification to subscribers. Everyone is asked to take action and stabilize all disturbed soils to reduce blowing dust.

When a Rapid Response Notification is broadcast, the department will require dust control permit holders to inspect their site as soon as possible and employ Best Available Control Measures. This applies to dirt roads, vacant lots and any dust generating activity. Permittees with multiple sites should contact each site supervisor to ensure compliance with Air Quality Department regulations.

Air Quality Department inspectors will canvass the area to ensure compliance with its dust control standards. If you see a dust control issue, give us a call and report the air quality violation at 602-372-2703 or file a report online at www.maricopa.gov/aq.
