Joint Press Conference with EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin
I'm a firm believer that you can improve air quality without limiting business expansion. After years of hard work, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin referred Maricopa County's proposed Rule 204 for approval. Rule 204 incentivizes owners and operators to upgrade their high-emitting non-road vehicles to newer, cleaner technology. This kind of original, forward-thinking policy is a hallmark of Maricopa County, and we are grateful to Administrator Zeldin and our federal partners for continuing to push this policy change toward the finish line.

Honoring Survivors of Domestic Violence
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. I'm proud that my Board colleagues and I issue an annual proclamation to raise awareness of this important issue. Michele and Taylor from Team Galvin joined me in wearing purple to show our support for survivors. The County HQ building is also illuminated in purple this month!
If you or someone you know needs help, please call my office at 602-506-7431, and we will help connect you with the resources you need.
Speaking at East Valley Partnership's Statespersons' Lunch
I was honored to be one of the speakers at this year's annual luncheon to discuss important issues on the upcoming ballot. It's vital that our community remains informed not only about when and how to vote, but also about what they're voting on. Before you cast your ballot, be sure to do your research and seek information from sources you trust.
Arizona Town Hall on Housing and Home Building
Attainable housing continues to be top of mind for my office. I was pleased to represent the conservative perspective on home building and the importance of creating as many housing options as the market dictates. The conversation was both productive and insightful. Thank you to Arizona Town Hall and the Home Builders Association of Central Arizona for having me!
Moderating the Valley Partnership Building Panel
On the other side of the mic! I had a great time moderating a panel on development and zoning at the latest Valley Partnership breakfast. My biggest takeaway? There's no better time to be building in the Valley!
D2 VIPs Offer Our Formal Meeting Invocation
In September, I was responsible for selecting the individuals who led the Pledge of Allegiance and invocation to begin our Formal Board meetings. I always aim to choose people and organizations that embody the best of our district. This month, I invited former Congressman Matt Salmon for our first meeting, and for our second meeting, I invited a group of neighbors from the Rio Verde Foothills who helped me to honor the late Christy Jackman.
Christy was a resident who became an entrusted friend when I began working to find a water provider for the Rio Verde Foothills region. I was deeply saddened by her passing earlier this year and wanted to commemorate her and the beautiful mark she left on so many. Click the picture below to hear my tribute to this wonderful woman.
Speaking with My Constituents in Dreamland Villa
It's always great to get out into the community and hear directly from constituents. It was a great discussion about everything from code compliance to elections. Thank you for having me, Dreamland Villa!
Introducing: The Newest Member of Team Galvin!
I mean it when I say my favorite part of our formal Board meetings is our Pet Showcase. Our most recent featured pet stole my family's heart, and we just had to adopt him! Meet Willie Mays Galvin! Thank you to Maricopa County Animal Care and Control for working tirelessly to help deserving pets like Willie find their forever homes!

I was recently quoted in AZCentral after it was learned that the Recorder's Office had used the incorrect election date on its recorded help line. Voters deserve better than this.

Standing Up for Disenfranchised Voters
I am appalled at how Justin Heap continues to put his agenda over voters' rights. I am grateful to County Attorney Rachel Mitchell for her work to reinstate impacted voters. Read my quote in the Arizona Republic, Phoenix New Times, ABC15, and AZ Mirror.

Show Your ID to Bypass Signature Verification!
Do you typically drop off your early ballot on Election Day? Oftentimes, these ballots are among the last to be tabulated in the election process because of the added time needed to verify each ballot's signature. Now, voters have the option to show their ID at the polls to skip the signature verification process! Those ballots will receive a special stamp and move forward to tabulation with the rest of the in-person Election Day votes.
AATN: Arizona Anti-Trafficking Network
One of the most devastating and darkest realities of our world is human trafficking. I am so grateful for organizations like the Arizona Anti-Trafficking Network, which work to educate the public about the dangers of human trafficking, how to prevent it, and how to rehabilitate survivors. This organization offers an array of programs, all of which target different groups impacted by trafficking. Click the button or picture below to learn more about each of these comprehensive programs.
