Conclusion of Youth Summer Program

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our District 5 Summer Program! Throughout the summer, families and students came together to stay active, build new friendships, and enjoy a variety of free recreational opportunities. It was wonderful to see our community connect, learn, and have fun in a safe and welcoming environment.

We are grateful to our community partners, staff, volunteers, and every family who participated in making this year’s program a success. We look forward to seeing everyone again next summer!

MLB Pitch, Hit, Run Program

District 5 was proud to host an MLB Pitch, Hit & Run event at the Maricopa Institute of Technology baseball fields, giving young athletes the opportunity to showcase their baseball and softball skills in a fun and supportive environment. Participants completed a series of pitching, hitting, and running challenges, with their performances recorded on official scorecards and evaluated based on their results.

Top performers will have the opportunity to advance through the Pitch, Hit & Run competition, with the chance to compete at the national level. We appreciate everyone who joined us for this exciting event and wish all participants the best of luck as they continue in the competition!

Grant Park Backpack Giveaway

Our office was proud to join Mary Rose Wilcox and Phoenix Vice Mayor and Councilwoman Kesha Hodge Washington for a community backpack giveaway at Grant Park. Families from across the community came together for an afternoon focused on helping students prepare for a successful new school year.

Students received backpacks and school supplies while families enjoyed hot dogs, snacks, and plenty of summer fun. Kids also had the chance to cool off and enjoy the water slides throughout the event.

We are grateful to everyone who helped make this event possible and to all the families who joined us. Events like these are a great reminder of what can be accomplished when community leaders and partners come together to support our young people and ensure they have the resources they need to start the school year strong.

From assisting voters and checking in participants to helping process ballots, these dedicated individuals help uphold the integrity of the election process while providing excellent customer service to the public.

As the November 3 General Election approaches, make sure you know where to find accurate and reliable election results. Maricopa County Elections provides updated, unofficial election results beginning on Election Night and continues to update results as ballots are processed and counted.

Finding information about Maricopa County programs and services just got easier! Maricopa County has launched Mari, a new AI-powered virtual assistant available 24/7 on Maricopa.gov.

Residents can ask Mari questions in everyday language and quickly find information about County services, including pet adoption, property information, public health, and more. Mari’s responses also connect residents directly to trusted, official County sources where they can learn more.

Whether you have a quick question or are looking for a specific County service, Mari provides another convenient way to get the information you need.

Hi, I'm Tigere! I love to play and run around, but I'm a bit shy and get startled easily. New places and loud noises make me anxious, so I might need a little extra patience.
