Supervisor Galvin's Statement of Condolence Following the Passing of Harry Mitchell
"I was saddened to hear of the recent passing of former Arizona Congressman and Tempe Mayor, Harry Mitchell.
Mr. Mitchell was a steadfast fixture in the East Valley throughout his political tenure. Prior to his career as a politician, Mr. Mitchell was a dedicated teacher. The breadth of his career is a testament to his commitment to public service.
While he held many titles throughout his career, it is clear the title people will remember first is that of a friend. I have seen many moving messages recalling sweet memories with Mr. Mitchell, many shared over a great burger.
I extend my condolences to the Mitchell family and will continue to keep them in my prayers during this difficult time."
