I am aware of intermittent AT&T connectivity issues at a limited number of polling locations. We are trying to understand the root cause, weather or something else.
I am communicating with staff, and our elections team is actively working to resolve the problem.
I directed county leadership to issue deployment of redundant connection tools from Verizon at all polling locations. I have asked for public communications owning the issue, and sharing options.
You should have clear, easy options to make sure your voice is heard if your polling location is having issues. While not optimal, here are my recommendations:
You can vote at any other vote center in the county, so one option is to head to another nearby location.
Or request a provisional ballot on-site. Our poll workers are prepared and ready to assist.
While these options are not optimal choices it is a work around.
We are making sure teams on the ground know exactly what to do so no eligible voter gets turned away. If you ran into delays earlier today, feel free to swing back by or try another site nearby.
I am committed to keeping you informed in real time.
If you have an issue email me directly: District1@maricopa.gov

For the latest updates, check the Maricopa County Elections site or reach out to the Elections Department.
For an active problem at a Vote Center equipment, excessive delays, accessibility, check-in issues, or a location not opening the best approach is to notify the Vote Center supervisor immediately and call the Elections hotline so the issue can be escalated and documented.
