America 250: Celebrating our Nation’s Semiquincentennial
July 4, 2026, marks an historic milestone for our beautiful country – America’s 250th birthday!
In the words of Benjamin Franklin, “Where liberty dwells, there is my country."
I am so honored to join my wonderful constituents to celebrate this very special Independence Day, to honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom and to thank those who serve, and to sing Happy Birthday to America!
Following are some highlights of celebratory events your District 3 team was proud to join.
Thousands of residents and their families attended the After Dark in the Park 4th of July celebration at Deer Valley Park last Saturday. Early evening festivities included bounce houses and water attractions for kids, as well as over a dozen vendor booths. For the second straight year, drones were used in lieu of fireworks, and the displays were amazing!
Thank you to the Black Mountain Community Alliance and our City of Phoenix partners for making this event so memorable.

Recently, Supervisor Thomas Galvin and I were honored to award commemorative America 250 badges to our esteemed Maricopa County Security Services (MCSS) officers.
This badge will be worn by MCSS officers for the remainder of the year, a fitting symbol of their dedication and hard work.
