A reminder for community water system permit holders: the 2025 Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) deadline is approaching.
In accordance with federal and state drinking water regulations, community water systems must prepare and deliver their 2025 CCR to customers no later than July 1, 2026.
Systems that sell water to another community water system must have delivered their report to the buyer system by April 1, 2026
CCR Requirements: Please ensure that your 2025 CCR includes all required elements as outlined by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), including but not limited to:
- Water System Information
- Source(s) of Water / Source Water Assessment
- Definitions
- Detected Contaminants
- Information on Monitoring for Cryptosporidium, Radon, and others (if detected)
- Compliance with the National Primary Drinking Water Standards (any violations and Ground Water Rule [GWR] special notices)
- Variances or Exemptions (if applicable)
- Required Educational Information
Systems must also meet all applicable delivery and certification requirements, including proper distribution to customers (by mail, direct delivery, or approved electronic methods) and submission of a CCR Certification Form and a copy of the report to the regulatory agency by the required deadline.

For public water systems (community & non-community non-transient only), several PFAS compliance deadlines are now on the near-term horizon.
Public water systems have until April 26, 2027, to complete required initial monitoring for PFAS and report results to the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ). The public water system must notify the public of these results by the 2027 CCR.
Systems with PFAS levels exceeding the National Primary Drinking Water Regulation (NPDWR) maximum contaminant level (MCL) will need to implement a solution to meet PFAS standards by April 26, 2029. For further guidance and resources, visit the ADEQ PFAS information page.
