A New Zoning Ordinance to Address Housing Affordability & Cut Red Tape
When I became Chairman in January, I set an imposing goal to overhaul Maricopa County's outdated zoning ordinance. In less than a year, we were able to remove nearly 15,000 words and 53 pages of text to simplify and modernize the County's new Zoning Ordinance. We heard from many of you throughout this process and your feedback was invaluable in helping to accomplish this goal.
Fighting for Taxpayers: Significant Melendres Filing in Federal Court

Small Business Loans for those Impacted by East Valley Storms
Was your property or business damaged or affected by the severe storms in East Valley between October 10-13? The Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering low-interest disaster loans to residents, nonprofits, and businesses impacted by the severe storms. These loans are available to all of Maricopa County, not just those in Tempe. The application deadline is January 13, 2026.
