WHAT: Maricopa County leaders invite members of the media to celebrate the grand opening of Maricopa County Department of Public Health’s (MCDPH) Goodyear Public Health Center, a new, fully-renovated facility providing expanded access to essential public health services in the West Valley.
The 32,619-square-foot center—funded through $18 million from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA)—brings critical programs such as WIC, Immunizations, STI Testing and Treatment, and Vital Records closer to residents in Goodyear and surrounding communities in southwestern Maricopa County. The center also hosts Head Start and Workforce Development services for residents, as well as office space for county staff who serve nearby schools and homes, reducing travel to the central administration building.
Following a ribbon-cutting ceremony, attendees are invited to tour the facility and speak with local officials about how this investment will improve access to health services for families across the region.
