Farewell to Chris Camacho
After 18 years of dedicated service to the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC), Chris Camacho is moving on to a new chapter. While it’s bittersweet to see him go, I’m excited for what lies ahead for him and wish him every success.
I’m also honored to begin serving as a GPEC Board member, alongside Chairman Tom Galvin and County Manager Jen Pokorski.

Our county team attended the Greater Phoenix Chamber’s Professional Women’s Alliance luncheon. It was an energizing event that brought together leaders from across the Valley to promote mentorship and highlight the impact of women in business and community leadership. I’m grateful for the opportunity to join the conversation. |

I had the opportunity to visit the Shemer Art Center, a cultural gem in our community. The center showcases the work of local artists, offers classes and workshops, and provides a welcoming space for residents and visitors to engage with the arts. It was a pleasure to see firsthand how the Shemer continues to preserve its historic setting while fostering creativity and supporting the arts in Phoenix. |

Animal Care & Control Updates
Licensing is now easier for residents. Maricopa County Animal Care & Control (MCACC) launches its partnership with DocuPet, a world-leading pet profile, lost pet and licensing platform.
Every DocuPet tag is equipped with the free HomeSafe® 24/7 Lost Pet Service and doubles as a pet’s official license. DocuPet’s tags link to a secure online pet profile using a unique code, which can be used to submit a Found Pet Report should anyone find them. Owners can also file a Lost Pet Report the moment they realize they’re gone. In addition, DocuPet’s dedicated dispatch staff is available 24/7 to reunite lost pets with their families around the clock.
