"Pride Month is a powerful reminder to celebrate individuality, embrace authenticity, and stand united against discrimination.
Arizona has made meaningful strides in advancing LGBTQ+ rights—but our work is far from over.
Too many LGBTQ+ Arizonans, especially youth, still face barriers to safety, acceptance, and equal opportunity. We must do more to ensure that everyone—regardless of where they are on their journey—feels supported, valued, and protected. That begins with active allyship and creating inclusive spaces where all of us can thrive.
Sadly, some elected officials at the federal and state level continue to push legislation rooted in homophobia and transphobia—efforts that strip away the basic rights and dignity of our LGBTQ+ loved ones. These bills aren’t just morally wrong; they undermine our values, hurt families, and make Arizona a less welcoming place for everyone.
That’s not the Arizona I know. The Arizona I love is one where neighbors lift each other up and where diversity isn’t feared—it’s celebrated.
This month, let’s renew our commitment to creating an Arizona that stands for dignity, compassion, and freedom—for everyone."
