West Valley Ham Shack Open House
I had the pleasure of attending the West Valley Ham Shack Open House in Youngtown. The club houses one of the finest museums of radios and record players in the country, with some dating back to the early 1900's!
In November 2020, as Congresswoman, I introduced a bipartisan resolution to designate April 18, 2021 as National Amateur Radio Operators Day. April 18th is the anniversary of the founding of the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) which was established in 1925.
Amateur radio operators are critical in times of crisis and our communities are safer thanks to their dedication to sharing important information with the public.
A big thank you goes out to the West Valley Ham Shack for promoting amateur radio science and technology to the public!
Avondale State of the City Event
On April 10, Team Lesko represented by Jim Bull, attended the Avondale State of the City event led by Mayor Mike Pineda. Jim had the pleasure of meeting with Senate President Warren Petersen and City of Avondale leadership, engaging with community leaders, and discussing a shared vision for the coming year.

Last month, many of our County departments showed up at the Arizona StandDown to offer services to veterans in need. Here are some stats about some of the lifechanging legal assistance that we offered:
- 1500 veterans attended the StandDown.
- Over 700 received some form of legal help.
- The MCJC “courtroom” heard 30 cases.
- We resolved out $27,622 in fines and fees.
