Pet of the Week
Beethoven is a deaf pup who would love a chance at a forever home! Once he warms up to you, he becomes a playful, affectionate companion who loves toys, belly rubs, and exploring the world around him. He loves people of all ages and would make a great family pet. Beethoven's adoption fee includes his neuter surgery, vaccines and microchip. Visit Maricopa.gov/Pets to meet your new best friend!
Happy Tails
We adopted two dogs at the same time: Mickey and Penny. We have had them for many years and they are approaching 11 years.
The rule of threes was applicable, and we had some really tough moments. After two years, I think we finally have a well-adjusted pack. The girls were the most difficult to get on track, but they now do social grooming and lay next to each other without issues. It has been a lot of work but has been very rewarding.
Our boy dog is the sweetest cuddle bug. Our older female is the most well behaved and obedient. Our youngest female is unlike any other dog we've had. She does trust falls and immediately settles down when covered with a blanket. They all love to be loved and snuggle under blankets.
